The Once Collection
The Once Collection is a seating range that includes a chair and a barstool. Each seat is built from two forms of laser-cut metal that are welded together. The metal forms a single central leg that splits again into supports for the cushions. Three contact points with the floor provide stability. The cushions are made of foam on a wooden base and are covered with cowhide that is sewn to size. The backrests are connected by a hinge, so the backrests adapt to the seated person. Two versions are offered, one in Corten steel and one painted black.
The Once Collection Seating by Kristof De Bock has been featured as an outstanding illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Once Collection Seating was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which rewards excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
