Side-Sleep
Side-Sleep is a pillow designed for people who sleep on their side. The pillow has two layers. The upper layer uses a butterfly wing form inspired by bionics and softly wraps the head, while the lower layer supports the head and holds the height of the neck. A hand can be placed in the gap between the two layers to avoid soreness and numbness caused by nerve compression. The two layers can be used together, or the upper layer can be used alone. The outer fabric is cotton satin and the filling is white goose down.
Side-Sleep Pillow by Philip Lu has been selected as an exceptional illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Side-Sleep Pillow earned the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that rewards excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
