Deskable
Deskable is a desk designed for single-person households. Deskable combines a desk and a dining table in one piece of furniture, which saves space in small homes. The top plate can be extended by pulling out the front drawer, so the surface becomes wide enough for meals. Storage space is placed under the extendable top. A carved line on the drawer marks the opening limit and removes the need for a separate stopper. The materials are oak plywood, coated ABS plastic, tempered glass and stainless steel.
Deskable Desk by Jeongmin Ryu was identified as an exceptional example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Deskable Desk earned the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that recognizes outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
