Lavvu
Inspired by the lavvu, a temporary dwelling used by the Sami people of northern Scandinavia, The Lavvu coffee tables underscores lightness and flexible use. Much like the nomadic tents they were inspired by, the Lavvu tables have been designed to respond quickly to ever-changing lifestyles, habits and demands. If the conical shape and wooden slats are a clear reference to the Sami tradition, the colors recall reindeer hides. Simple to disassemble, they allow the user to easily recycle them at the end of their life.
Lavvu Small Tables by Dorian Asscherick has been identified as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Lavvu Small Tables was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2023. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
