Folds
Folds is a modular storage rack inspired by origami art. The design uses a small number of component types that can be arranged in different ways. The same parts can form desktop storage boxes, wall shelves and edge shelves. Folds is made of metal sheet and is supplied as a flat pack, so the parts are assembled by following the instructions. A gradient color effect is applied by spray painting, and the surface texture is added by heat transfer printing. The open compartments allow items to be placed and reached quickly.
Folds Folding Rack by Ziel Home Furnishing Technology Co., Ltd was selected as an innovative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Folds Folding Rack was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Homeware Design in 2026. The A' Decorative Items and Homeware Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design prize which honors excellent design of tableware, lighting fixtures, cookware, decorative accessories, bathroom accessories, furniture, textiles, kitchen gadgets and more.
