Day Go Modular Armchair

Day Go

Day Go is a sustainable modular armchair inspired by the silhouette of a traditional Taiwanese teapot, reimagining Eastern hospitality into a modern, enveloping form. Engineered for the Circular Economy, its unified aesthetic conceals a glue free Design for Disassembly structure. The plush seat integrates with a hidden recyclable base housing a smooth 360 degree swivel mechanism. This design enables future parts replacement and material separation, balancing cultural storytelling with sustainable industrial utility.

Day Go Modular Armchair by Hsieh-jen Lee has been selected as an outstanding example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Day Go Modular Armchair received the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2026. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design competition which recognizes superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
