The Flight of the Razorbill Outdoor Furniture Collection

The Flight of the Razorbill

The Flight of the Razorbill is an outdoor furniture collection composed of a chair, a table and a lighting piece. The collection is made of Fenix, a nanotechnology material with an ultra-matte, anti-fingerprint surface and thermal self-healing properties. Fenix is usually applied in interiors, and the collection adapts the material to outdoor use. The shapes follow a biomimetic study of the aerodynamic body of the Razorbill seabird. Digital modeling and precision CNC fabrication create the continuous geometries.

The Flight of the Razorbill Outdoor Furniture Collection by Matias Millet has been identified as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. The Flight of the Razorbill Outdoor Furniture Collection earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2026. The A' Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award which celebrates outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
