Klotz
Klotz is a coffee table that has a glass top and wooden legs made of six separate parts. The legs are constructed by bracing three wood blocks, producing a simple and sculptural form. Light oak and black oak are used for structure to make a color contrast and it presents the structure of legs more clearly.
Klotz Structual coffee table by Yu Hiraoka was highlighted as an outstanding illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Klotz Structual coffee table won the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2016. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade that recognizes excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
